Alcoholic Identity
Does the ingestion of alcohol reveal a person’s true (or more true) identity?
In other words, does drinking bring out the "real you"?

I think that it may make it easier for our self constructed walls to come down.  However, I also think that most people use it as an excuse to be rude or obnoxious.  "Yeah, I grabbed your boob...I’m SOOOO wasted right now!"

If they us ethe excuse in the moment then it is fake as hell... If realize you are wasted then you are self aware.... However I agree that it does bring down some inhibitions.....

I think it helps that other that your usually around other drunk people at the same time.  I was at a bar back home a couple of years ago, and a girl i’ve know my whole life reached down my pants and grabbed my dick in front of about 40 people standing outside smoking.  She is normally a "good girl" so this was totally unexpected by me.  We ended up fucking in a car about 30 feet from the front door with half the bar watching us.  That was something that neither of us would have done if we were sober.  So i think it helps that everyone gets a little naughty while drinking.  We did date for over a year after that wild night.

I totally agree with Wallygator too, that if someone is proclaiming they are wasted, they’re not, just someone who wants attention without the hangover.

i don’t think being wasted automatically makes people reveal their tue identity, but it will allow them let their guard down and therefore act out and say things that they otherwise wouldn’t (aka "doing a Mel Gibson").  so indirectly it might well reveal who they really are.

Sometimes I say things when I’ve had a few that sound different coming out than how I had intended to say it and it gets worse when you try explain what just happened while you are still in that drunken state -- funny but also embarrassing.

My true identity I would guess is a mixture of my sober and drunk behaviour -- thank God I don’t behave like an asshole when I’m drunk(anymore).

In instances like Gibson’s, is alcohol really to blame?  or was that just an excuse?

I don’t change much when I’m drunk.  I’m still happy.  I don’t have a drink more often then one or two every 6 months or sometimes even longer.  Because of that, I am able to tell when I’m drunk.  Just because someone can recognize when they’re wasted doesn’t mean they aren’t wasted.  I know that I’m past my limit when I start puking.  At that point, I’m not doing much but groaning and moaning.  My attitude and personality don’t change by my having alcohol.  I do believe though, that some people do use the excuse of "I’m wasted" while not really drunk, just to get reactions from others.  Luckily, I’m not one of them.

Yo, check it dog!

Sound in human language be produced by da regulation uh airflow from da lungs through da throat, nose, an mouth. This airflow be altered in various ways by different aspects uh dis speech system. The first major segment uh da speech system be da subglottal system. This subglottal system comprises da lungs, diaphragm an trachea.

The lungs is basically a pair uh balloon-like sacs dat inflate or deflate by da action uh da diaphragm, a muscle just under da lungs, attached to them. When da diaphragm be lowered, da lungs inflate, an when da diaphragm be raised, air be pressed out uh da lungs, allowen them to deflate.

When dis air be pressed out uh da lungs, air travels up da trachea, or windpipe, to da larynx, da next major segment uh da speech system.

fuh dog, And aint dat be da shit!

guess that depends on who they’re getting touchy-feely with, and what they are trying to touch and feel.  =)

men are all about repressed feeling alcohol reduces trheir inhibitions and allows for shows of emotion and affection whatever way they may express it

doesnt mean that they are gay unless they are actually gay who knows
